Buzz The Fuzz is a silicon transistor version of the legendary Tone Bender MK1. The basic circuit design is the same, but has been adapted for NPN silicon transistors by Tone Bender expert Roman Gilles of Manlay Sound. The sound this fuzz produces is epic, with the same sonic character and personality as the original Tone Bender MK1, but with even longer sustain. Changing the transistors to silicon not only improves stability and reliability, but also allows it to be powered by a standard ``center negative 9V power supply.'' The Tone Bender MKI is one of the greatest fuzz pedals ever made, derived from the Maestro Fuzz Tone. Used by Jeff Beck on classic Yardbirds albums, by The Beatles on "Think For Yourself," passed from Pete Townshend to Mick Ronson, and in the early 1970s became part of the sound that made David Bowie a legend. Buzz The Fuzz combines the Tone Bender's signature characteristics of gated brutality, excellent sustain when playing chords, clarity and separation, and the ability to preserve the tone of your guitar and pickups even at maximum gain.
