The CAT'S Factory signatu re pedal "AT-222" series is a favorite of Akira Takasaki, who uses it on stage and in a variety of other situations. Introducing the first fixed wah pedal in the series that is not a booster/distortion model! While it is possible to produce a fixed (half-stop) wah sound with a regular wah pedal, it is extremely difficult to produce the same half-stop sound every time without restricting the wah pedal's function (pedal range of motion), and this is almost impossible with a switchless wah pedal or one whose pedal movement has become loose due to use. On the other hand, a fixed-type wah not only produces the same sound every time, but can also be turned on and off instantly, so there is no need to operate the pedal precisely with your foot while performing on stage. Of course, you can also use it in a tricky way by combining it with a regular wah pedal. The AT-222FW has the same matte black finish as the 6-knob "Live or Die," with a wah control knob located in the upper left and Takasaki's "AT" logo printed in a blue gradient to the right of the center.
