CAT'S Factory [Autographed on the box!] AT-222ODD Live or Die/OverDrive Distortion [AKIRA TAKASAKI Signature Pedal] (Cat's Factory) Overdrive Distortion by Akira Takasaki
[This item has been autographed on the box. *See image 7] An overdrive/distortion pedal made by CAT'S Factory that has received high praise from Akira Takasaki of LOUDNESS! The CAT'S Factory signature pedal "AT-222" series is a favorite of Akira Takasaki, who uses it on stage and in a variety of other situations. Introducing an overdrive/distortion pedal that outputs an amp-like distorted sound, named Live or Die by Mr. Takasaki! The six-knob design and larger-than-previous models come with a matte black finish, with Takasaki's "AT" logo printed prominently in the center, and the model name "Live or Die" in a font reminiscent of the fourth-generation LOUDNESS. The wide-range, crisp drive sound, reminiscent of the distortion of a high-output vacuum tube amplifier, can be finely adjusted using six controls: gain, volume, treble, bass, presence, and tight, making it suitable for use in a wide range of genres. Of course, since this is Takasaki's signature pedal, you can use it to set the basic distorted sound on a clean amp, and then connect a fuzz to it to get the VooDoo tone that was representative of the ``Ki'' era.If you connect it in front of a pedal that narrows the range in a good way, such as the SD-1 or TS9, as a constant booster, you can create the classic hard rock/metal sound. In addition, the sound changes character in response to your picking, so you can control everything from powerful sounds to delicate sounds with just this pedal. Like the previous AT-222 series, it uses a true bypass system, so the original sound is not compromised when the effect is turned off, and it also features low noise. The blue-cased "AT-222D 8I-II0 Distortion" is often used as a booster, whereas the "Live or Die" is an amp-like distortion and is designed to be used with a clean amp. Takasaki plans to use it from the LOUDNESS tour in December 2024. Of course, we have paid careful attention to the internal parts of this pedal as well, and all commercially available pedals are of the same quality as the pedal used by Takasaki himself. CAT'S Factory pedals are used by leading guitarists and bassists, including Takasaki and Masayoshi Yamashita, but because they are manufactured and sold only to direct orders from users, new pedals are not available in music stores, and the AT-222 series is only sold at a limited number of music stores. Due to the significant increase in raw material and shipping costs in recent years, this is a pricey drive pedal, but its sound quality will satisfy not only fans but also many guitarists. Please try it at the store! *Since each unit is made entirely by hand, there may be slight individual differences in the finish of the casing, etc.
