Item Name: Boro Batch - Small Batch - Peafowl Test #1 - Bottom Shelf SKU: BB-SB-158-OPTION158 Description: Peafowl Test #1 is a borosilicate small-batch experimental color rod from Boro Batch. Peafowl is described as a semi transparent dark blue, and Test #1 is described as a darker blue version compared to other Peafowl tests. This is the kind of color that gives you depth without going fully opaque, letting you build layered blues that still transmit light and show form, especially on thicker sections and over clear. How it is used: Use this rod like other borosilicate color in a lampworking flame for wraps, overlays, stringer pulls, and surface decoration. Heat the rod evenly and apply it to clear or compatible colors to create rich dark-blue shading, then melt it in smoothly for clean coverage. Because it is semi transparent, it is especially useful when you want a dark blue that still shows contour and internal depth, such as encasement work, layered striping, and sculptural accents where you want the color to read deep without looking flat. How It's Sold: This item is available by the pound (LB) or 1/4 lb.
