Rostaing's flagship blend, 'Ampodium,' which is their classic and elegant Syrah harvested from the famed village of Ampuis in the Côte-Rôtie. The wine was aged in a mixture or barr ique and foudre (~20% new) for 22 months. Somked orange peel, violets, blackberry, and black cherry, with stemmy herbs and spice. René Rostaing is akin to Northern Rhône royalty, having familial connections with famed Syrah producers Albert Dervieux and Marius Gentaz.
