A lantern built to hang low and lead you in The Down Wall Lantern reaches forward on a curved arm and lets its glass hood drop below the bracket, so the pointed finials, the one above and the smaller one beneath, sit right where you would catch them walking past. The roof steps down in clean stages before it meets the glass, giving the casting real depth rather than a flat outline. Black, through and through Cast in die cast aluminium and finished black, the body has a flat, ironwork depth rather than a painted shine. Clear glass panels run around all four sides of the lamp chamber, so the bulb sits in full view rather than behind a diffuser. How it works It is a single light fitting, wired for one E27 bulb of your choosing, so you can run a warm filament lamp for a period look or a cooler LED if you would rather have more light on the step. Fit a dimmable bulb and it will dim on a compatible switch.
