A down facing lantern for the wall beside your door Mounted on a wall bracket with the light hanging below it, this lantern has a pointed finial on top and a squared, glass sided b ody underneath, so it throws light down and out rather than up the wall. Cast aluminium in matte black, with clear glass panes on all four sides. How it works A single E27 bulb sits inside the housing, visible through the glass from the path or driveway below. Being a wall fitting rather than a chain lantern, there's no drop to adjust, just a fixed bracket that projects the lantern clear of the wall, and it's happy on a dimmer switch if you use a dimmable bulb. Where it works best Its down facing light pattern makes it a natural choice either side of a front door, along a porch wall or flanking a garage entrance, anywhere you want light cast onto the ground rather than up towards eaves or gutters.
