Eddie Jordan paired two of the most exciting young talents in the sport, Ralf Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella, and the results were immediate. Still powered by the Peugeot A14 V10, the 197 delivered three podiums across the season: Schumacher third in Argentina in only his third Grand Prix, and Fisichella third in Canada and second at Spa. With strong qualifying pace throughout, including Fisichella's fastest lap in Spain, Jordan ended the year fifth in the Constructors' Championship with a clear sense of acceleration in every direction. A fine chronograph does not merely record time; it reveals character at speed. The 197 showed that Jordan had the eye for talent and the machinery to express it. This watch honours that acceleration of promise, the moment a team and its drivers find their shared rhythm. The Watch The watch itself is the Hunter evolved. At its heart beats the CIGA Design in-house CD-011 manual tourbillon, its skeletonised bridge and base plate expanding the visible mechanism by 200 per cent. Green-tipped luminous hands honour Eddie's Irish roots, blue screws and ruby jewels echo his ardour and reason, and the yellow strap carries the colours of Jordan Grand Prix. Eddie's signature is engraved on the three-layered octagonal case, forged from DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium, and his FTB wrist tattoo is embossed on the strap loop. The Signed Print This piece is paired with a print of the Jordan 197, personally signed by Andy Stevenson. Andy joined Eddie's team in 1988, before Jordan ever reached Formula One, and worked on every car the team built, from the 191 to the EJ15. He went on to become one of the most respected figures in the paddock and has never missed a race since. His signature connects this watch directly to the hands that built the car it honours.
