Jordan EJ11 (2001): The Honda Era The Jordan EJ11 launched a new chapter: a full works partnership with Honda. Built around the Honda RA001E V10, the car represented the most significant investment in the team's technical infrastructure since its debut, with nearly fifty additional staff joining and the design team restructured under Eghbal Hamidy and Tim Holloway. Jarno Trulli and Heinz-Harald Frentzen shared driving duties, the latter partnered at various points by Jean Alesi and Ricardo Zonta. The EJ11 showed genuine potential in qualifying but struggled to convert pace into consistent results as the Honda partnership found its footing. Great watch houses have always understood that the relationship between movement manufacturer and case maker defines the result. The EJ11 was the beginning of an ambitious collaboration. This watch honours the spirit of partnership, the belief that two complementary disciplines brought together with purpose can achieve more than either alone. The Watch The watch itself is the Hunter evolved. At its heart beats the CIGA Design in-house CD-011 manual tourbillon, its skeletonised bridge and base plate expanding the visible mechanism by 200 per cent. Green-tipped luminous hands honour Eddie's Irish roots, blue screws and ruby jewels echo his ardour and reason, and the yellow strap carries the colours of Jordan Grand Prix. Eddie's signature is engraved on the three-layered octagonal case, forged from DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium, and his FTB wrist tattoo is embossed on the strap loop. The Signed Print This piece is paired with a print of the Jordan EJ11, personally signed by Andy Stevenson. Andy joined Eddie's team in 1988, before Jordan ever reached Formula One, and worked on every car the team built, from the 191 to the EJ15. He went on to become one of the most respected figures in the paddock and has never missed a race since. His signature connects this watch directly to the hands that built the car it honours.
