Jordan EJ15 (2005): The Final Lap The Jordan EJ15 was the last car to carry the Jordan name. Facing 2005 without an engine deal after Ford's sale of Cosworth, the team secured a Toyota RVX-05 V10 supply and fielded two drivers new to Formula One: Portuguese Tiago Monteiro and Indian pioneer Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian driver to compete in a World Championship Grand Prix. In the chaos of the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis, where just six cars started, Monteiro finished third, giving Jordan a final podium in their last season. Before the year was out, Eddie Jordan had sold the team. An era was over. Every great watchmaking house has its final reference, the piece that closes a chapter and becomes, in time, the most treasured of all. The EJ15 was Jordan's last word: dignified, determined and historically significant. This watch honours the end of a journey that began with fearless ambition and concluded with the quiet authority of fifteen seasons lived at the limit of possibility. The Watch The watch itself is the Hunter evolved. At its heart beats the CIGA Design in-house CD-011 manual tourbillon, its skeletonised bridge and base plate expanding the visible mechanism by 200 per cent. Green-tipped luminous hands honour Eddie's Irish roots, blue screws and ruby jewels echo his ardour and reason, and the yellow strap carries the colours of Jordan Grand Prix. Eddie's signature is engraved on the three-layered octagonal case, forged from DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium, and his FTB wrist tattoo is embossed on the strap loop. The Signed Print This piece is paired with a print of the Jordan EJ15, personally signed by Andy Stevenson. Andy joined Eddie's team in 1988, before Jordan ever reached Formula One, and worked on every car the team built, from the 191 to the EJ15. He went on to become one of the most respected figures in the paddock and has never missed a race since. His signature connects this watch directly to the hands that built the car it honours.
