Dimensions: 26" x 48" Medium: Acrylic on canvas A vibrant red-orange iris emerges from a deep black background, framed by whimsical, decorative patterns in colors inspired by the b loom itself. This piece is the earliest work in the show, dating back to around 2009. In my “old Shayna style,” it reflects a pivotal moment in my artistic journey—when I began to move away from a purely folk art approach and started incorporating more realistic floral elements. For this exhibition, I revisited and refreshed the piece with a few subtle updates, honoring its original spirit. It’s both a nod to where I began and a quiet step forward. Show more
