Dimensions: 18" x 24" Medium: Acrylic, Paint Marker, and Oil on Canvas This tulip portrait marks a chapter in my exploration of oil painting—a medium I’ve come to deeply enjoy. I o nce again played with scale to push the boundaries of this “new-to-me” approach. The background was created in the fall of 2024, but the piece itself took time to reveal its form. After completing several other oil portraits, the tulip shape naturally emerged, inspired by the oval textures beneath. Tulips hold special meaning to me, as they are a favorite of my sister and symbolize rebirth, fresh starts, and the arrival of spring. The orange tulip, in particular, conveys admiration, energy, and celebration—making it a fitting emblem for the sense of accomplishment I feel in completing this collection. Show more
