Built with strong 16mm links, the XG-16 is suited to Australian snow conditions, where drivers are often required to fit chains in designated fitting bays before reaching the snow. This can result in increased wear and tear compared with regions such as Europe, where drivers more commonly decide when chains should be fitted. The XG-16 uses a diamond-pattern chain and patented self-tensioning system, allowing the chains to be fitted in a single stop. They come in a plastic hard case for easy storage, and we recommend keeping a pair of gloves in the case to help avoid cold, wet and dirty hands when fitting.
