Product Description There is a gap between a log splitter and a commercial firewood processor, and the Blacks Creek Model 1250 is built to fill it. This is a real processor that saws and splits in one pass, not a splitter with attachments bolted to it, and it mounts to the skid steer or tractor you already own so you are not buying a second machine to carry it. It handles logs up to 16 inches in diameter and 8 feet long. There is no engine on the machine and nothing extra to fuel or service, because it runs entirely on your host machine's hydraulics through the rear remotes. The 18-inch bar runs a 3/8 chain at 0.058-inch gauge with gravity-feed lubrication, so the bar stays oiled without you thinking about it. On the splitting side, a 3.5 by 24-inch cylinder pushes through an adjustable 4-way hydraulic wedge, and block length sets anywhere from 12 to 24 inches in 2-inch increments. That last detail matters more than it sounds: it means you cut to whatever your customers or your own stove actually take, rather than to whatever the machine was built around. A 7-foot hydraulic chain in-feed deck keeps logs moving into the saw so you are not hand-feeding every piece. When the operation grows, the machine grows with it through a hydraulic log lift, an out-feed conveyor, and a live log deck. Contact us with your tractor or skid steer model and we will confirm the hydraulic flow you need before you order. Ideal For: Households, hobby farms, and small firewood producers who already run a skid steer or tractor and want genuine Canadian-made processing capability without buying a machine with its own engine to maintain. Key Features Powered by Your Machine: Mounts to a CAT 1 three point hitch or a skid steer plate and runs on the host machine's hydraulics. No second engine to fuel, service, or winterize. Saws and Splits in One Pass: A true firewood processor, not a log splitter with a saw added to it. 16-Inch Log Diameter, 8-Foot Length: Takes the size of log most small producers actually deal with. Adjustable 4-Way Hydraulic Wedge: Four splits per pass, with block length set from 12 to 24 inches in 2-inch increments. 18-Inch Bar and 3/8 Chain: A 0.058-inch gauge chain built for production cutting rather than occasional use. 7-Foot Hydraulic Chain In-Feed Deck: Feeds logs steadily into the saw instead of stopping to load each one by hand. Gravity-Feed Chain Lubrication: Keeps the bar oiled during operation with nothing for the operator to manage. Canadian-Made and Scalable: Built to the same standards as the larger Blacks Creek machines, and expandable as your output grows. Technical Specifications Specification Detail Saw Bar 18 in.
