Nutramigen 1 with LGG is an extensively hydrolysed, hypoallergenic infant formula for the dietary management of mild to moderate cow's milk allergy. It is suitable from birth to 6 months as a sole source of nutrition and can continue to be used as part of a weaning diet from 6 months. It must be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. How to prepare:Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise bottles, teats, caps and feeding utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions. Boil fresh water and allow it to cool to room temperature. Do not use softened water. Pour the required amount of water into a clean bottle. Add 1 level scoop (4.5g) for every 30ml of water, using only the scoop supplied in the tin. Do not pack the powder into the scoop. Close the bottle and roll and shake well for approximately one minute until the powder is completely dissolved. Check the temperature before feeding. Important information:Breastfeeding is best for babies. Nutramigen 1 with LGG is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Prepare feeds carefully according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once prepared, feed immediately where possible. Prepared formula may be covered and refrigerated at 2–4°C for no longer than 24 hours. Do not use formula that has been unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours. Once feeding has begun, use within 1 hour and discard any remaining formula. Nutramigen 1 with LGG contains extensively hydrolysed milk protein and soya oil. It should not normally be used for premature or immunocompromised infants unless specifically directed and supervised by an appropriate healthcare professional.
