Nutramigen 2 with LGG is an extensively hydrolysed, hypoallergenic formula designed for the dietary management of mild to moderate cow's milk allergy in infants from 6 months of age. It is intended for use as part of a varied weaning diet and must be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. How to prepare:Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise bottles, teats, caps and feeding utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions. Boil fresh water and allow it to cool to room temperature. Do not use softened water. Pour the required amount of water into a clean bottle and add the correct number of level scoops using only the scoop supplied in the tin. Use 1 level scoop (4.5g) for every 30ml of water. Close the bottle and roll and shake well for approximately 1 minute until the powder has dissolved completely. Check the temperature before feeding. Feeding guide: 6–12 months: 210ml water + 7 level scoops, providing approximately 230ml prepared feed, usually 2–3 feeds per day Over 1 year: 210ml water + 7 level scoops, providing approximately 230ml prepared feed, usually 2 feeds per day These quantities are a guide only. Individual requirements should be determined with the child's healthcare professional. Important information:Breastfeeding is best for babies. Nutramigen 2 with LGG is a formula for special medical purposes and should only be used after consultation with and under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Prepare feeds carefully according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once prepared, feed immediately where possible. Prepared formula may be covered and refrigerated at 2–4°C for no longer than 24 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula or use it if it has been unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours. Once feeding has begun, use within 1 hour and discard any remaining formula. Do not heat feeds in a microwave. Powdered Nutramigen formulas containing LGG should not be given to premature or immunocompromised infants unless specifically directed and supervised by a doctor.
