The IP68 RS485 pH Sensor measures a full 0–14 pH range, making it suitable for both soil and water applications such as precision gardening, aquaculture, and swimming pool maintenance. Its rugged, waterproof design ensures reliable performance in harsh outdoor or submerged environments. When paired with a SenseCAP Data Logger, the sensor enables seamless, continuous pH monitoring with efficient remote data collection and management. Features It measures pH levels in soil and water applications ranging from 0 to 14 pH, making it widely applicable in industrial environmental sensing scenarios. Note: We have two versions of the Industrial pH Sensor. The main difference is the cable connector. Please choose the version that best suits your needs: This version features hook-up wires. It is compatible with the SenseCAP LoRaWAN® Data Logger to connect with the LoRaWAN® network, offering low-power and long-range communication. The other version comes with a waterproof aviation connector. It is compatible with the SenseCAP Sensor Hub 4G Data Logger, which can collect various sensor data simultaneously and transmit via 3G/4G LTE. High Performance: High accuracy, fast response time, and excellent repeatability. Universal Protocol: Supports MODBUS-RTU RS485 and 0~2V Analog Voltage output. Wide-range Power Supply: Compatible with supply voltages ranging from 3.6V to 30V. Extreme Robustness: Suitable for long-term immersion in soil or water; features anti-corrosion properties. Maintenance-Free: A unique junction design effectively prevents junction clogging. This pH Sensor with hook-up wires measures hydrogen-ion activity in water-based solutions, indicating acidity or basicity. pH level is a critical indicator for monitoring soil conditions and water quality. Designed to industry standards, it utilizes an advanced solid dielectric and a large-area PTFE liquid junction to prevent blockage and simplify maintenance. The electrode is IP68 rated and the transmitter is IP65 rated, ensuring a waterproof seal for long-term use in professional environments. With RS485 Modbus and analog output, it integrates easily with data loggers and controllers. This cost-effective sensor features low power consumption and a compact size for high portability. Seeed also provides the SenseCAP Portal and SenseCAP Mate for remote data management. Note: White solid crystals around the probe shroud are normal due to temperature changes or redox during delivery. They do not affect the sensor's internal solution or operation. Gently wipe crystals with a wet paper towel and keep away from children to avoid ingestion. How do I calibrate it? A: Yes, the device is fully calibrated at the factory prior to shipment. For manual calibration steps, please refer to the Calibration Document. Q: Why is the temperature output inaccurate? A: The pH electrode itself does not have a built-in temperature sensor; the output reflects the internal plate temperature. If precise liquid temperature is needed, use an external NTC (10K, 3950) thermistor. Q: Can it be used in soil? How should it be installed? A: Yes, it measures soil moisture pH. Error increases in dry soil. Installation: Dig a pit, fill with water to create a slurry, then insert the glass probe carefully, avoiding hard objects like stones.
