Skinner Knife This knife is crafted from carbon steel. The style has a strong curve that creates a pronounced "belly", while the point of the blade sits far above centre. With these two properties, the edge of the blade has almost full-length contact with the cutting surface, while the point does not directly touch it. The blade is satin finished showing the bevels of the blade and showcasing the lines of the knife while reducing its reflective glare. The timber handle is Tasmanian Blackwood. This heartwood has a natural lustre and ranges in colour from light golden to dark brown, sometimes has a reddish tint and can occasionally show black streaks. An additional characteristic comes in the grain which can vary from mainly straight to occasionally wavy, known as fiddleback. This knife does not come with a sheath. However, a custom leather sheath may be purchased separately from our online store.
