The Sync Energy EVAB1ESP120 is a dynamic load-balancing system for single-phase electrical installations, designed to manage the available power across multiple compatible Sync Ene rgy EV chargers. It continuously monitors the installation load and adjusts the charging current to help prevent the main supply or dedicated EV charging circuit from exceeding its configured maximum capacity. The system can control up to 16 compatible EV chargers through an RS485 communication network, with a maximum communication distance of 150m between the balancer and the final connected charger. Configuration is completed using Bluetooth and the Sync Energy Installer App, allowing the installer to set the maximum circuit limit, check live electrical measurements and confirm the correct orientation of the CT clamp. The EVAB1ESP120 is supplied as a complete single-phase solution comprising the balancer hub in an IP20 enclosure, 1 split-core 120A CT clamp, a pre-wired 6A MCB and wiring terminals. The CT clamp monitors the incoming supply or EV circuit without carrying the charger power through the hub. In the event of a communication fault, connected chargers revert to a safe maximum charging current of 6A per charger.
