The Sync Energy EVAB1ETP400 is a dynamic load-balancing system for three-phase electrical installations, designed to manage the available electrical capacity across multiple compatible Sync Energy EV chargers. By monitoring the current on each phase, the system dynamically regulates the charging current to help prevent the building supply or dedicated EV charging circuit from exceeding its configured capacity. The EVAB1ETP400 can manage up to 16 compatible EV chargers through an RS485 communication network, with a maximum communication distance of 150m between the balancer and the final connected charger. Bluetooth configuration through the Sync Energy Installer App allows the installer to set the maximum circuit limit, configure the three-phase installation and verify live current and voltage measurements. The system is supplied with the balancer hub in an IP20 enclosure, 3 split-core 400A CT clamps, a pre-wired 6A MCB and wiring terminals. One CT clamp is installed on each phase to provide accurate monitoring of the three-phase supply or EV charging circuit. The charger power does not pass through the balancer hub. In the event of a communication fault, connected chargers revert to a safe maximum charging current of 6A per charger. Designed for indoor installation, the system operates from a 220-240V AC supply and is covered by a 3-year warranty.
