ML Single Coil Pickup developed in collaboration with Mike Landau Starting with a hand-wound recreation of the pickups from Mike Landau's '63 Strat, these pickups were born from a true experiment. They're juicier and hotter than other vintage pickups, while still retaining their sparkle. Allen Hinds installed the ML pickup in his own instrument and was so impressed with it that he decided to install it in his main Strat as well. Mike Landau, like him, also has the ML in all of his Suhr and Fender guitars. Initially, the ML was considered for the name V60HP (High Peak Resonance), but John felt that the pickup's voicing and coil winding method during manufacturing did not belong in the V60 family, so he named it ML. The introduction of the ML Single Coil Pickup completes the Suhr Pickup single coil lineup.
