Interleukin-34 (IL-34) is a cytokine with a molecular weight of 23.98 kDa, consisting of 216 amino acid residues. IL-34 is a ligand for the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CS F-1R) and is primarily secreted by the adrenal glands, frontal lobe, and cortex. It plays a crucial role in the proliferation, survival, differentiation, and migration of myeloid cells.
