Interleukin-17D (IL-17D) belongs to the IL-17 cytokine family and has a predicted molecular weight of 20 kDa. While the IL-17 family is closely associated with host defense and imm une responses, IL-17D remains a novel cytokine that has not yet been extensively studied. It is abundantly secreted by fibrosarcoma tumor cells. Furthermore, ectopic expression of IL-17D in tumor cells can recruit natural killer cells by inducing the production of CCL2 in endothelial cells.
